Introduction

GeneX is an AI-powered platform that transforms your business ideas into professional websites and web applications. Instead of hiring a developer, learning to code, or struggling with template builders, you simply describe what you want in plain English — and GeneX builds it for you.

Every site GeneX creates is motion-first, meaning it includes purposeful animations and interactions that make your brand feel premium and engaging. It's also optimised for the Nigerian market, with built-in support for Naira pricing, WhatsApp ordering, Paystack payments, and mobile-first performance on Android devices.

Creating an Account

Getting started with GeneX takes less than a minute. You'll need an email address and a password. That's it.

   Visit the signup page

   Go to the GeneX homepage and click "Start Free" or navigate directly to the signup page.

   Fill in your details

   Enter your full name, email address, and choose a strong password. Your phone number is optional but recommended for Nigerian businesses.

   Confirm your email

   Check your inbox for a confirmation email and click the link to verify your account. If you don't see it, check your spam folder.

   Start building

   Once confirmed, you'll be taken to your dashboard where you can create your first project immediately.

Your Dashboard

The dashboard is your command centre. After logging in, you'll see an overview of all your projects, quick stats, and a prompt to start building something new.

If you're a new user, the dashboard will show a large text area asking "What do you want to build?" — this is where the magic starts. Simply type your idea and click "Start Building."

If you already have projects, you'll see them displayed as cards in a grid. Each card shows a preview thumbnail, the project name, its current status (Draft, Live, etc.), and the motion profile applied to it.

Your First Project

Creating your first project is the core GeneX experience. The entire process is conversational — you talk to the AI, and it builds your site.

   From the sidebar or the dashboard, click "New Project" or "Create New Project."

   Describe your idea

   Type a description of what you want to build. Be as specific as you can about your business, your customers, and what you want the site to do.

   Answer a few questions

   GeneX may ask 2-3 clarifying questions to make sure it builds exactly what you need. If you're not sure, just pick the suggested default.

   Watch it build

   GeneX will show you its progress as it analyses your idea, designs the layout, writes the content, adds animations, and assembles the final site.

   Review and refine

   Once the preview is ready, you can ask GeneX to make changes using plain English. "Make the hero section more dramatic" or "Add a pricing table."

The quality of your site depends on how well you describe what you want. You don't need to be technical — just be specific about your business.

• Your business name and location
• What you sell or the service you provide
• Who your customers are
• What action you want visitors to take (buy, call, book, etc.)
• How you want the brand to feel (luxury, playful, professional, etc.)
• Any specific features (WhatsApp, Paystack, booking form, gallery)

The Generation Process

When you submit your description, GeneX goes through several stages automatically. You'll see progress updates as each stage completes:

Previewing Your Site

Once generation is complete, you'll see a live preview of your new site. The preview is interactive — you can scroll, click buttons, and see all animations in action.

Use the device selector above the preview to see how your site looks on different screen sizes: mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop monitors. This is especially important because most Nigerian users will visit your site on mobile phones.

Conversational Editing

After your site is generated, you can refine it by talking to GeneX. There's no drag-and-drop editor to learn — just type what you want to change.

GeneX is a motion-first platform. Every site it creates includes purposeful animations that enhance the user experience — not random decoration.

Motion Profiles

You can choose from six motion profiles depending on your brand personality:

You can also adjust the motion intensity on a scale from 1 (minimal) to 10 (maximum). GeneX automatically adapts animations for slower devices and connections — visitors on low-end Android phones will see simplified but still beautiful transitions.

Version History

Every time GeneX makes a significant change to your project, it saves a new version. This means you can always go back to a previous state if you don't like a change.

To access version history, open your project and look for the "Versions" panel. You'll see a list of all versions with timestamps and descriptions of what changed. Click any version to preview it, and click "Restore" to revert to that version.

Publishing

When you're happy with your site, click the "Publish" button to make it live on the internet. GeneX will generate a unique URL for your site that you can share with customers.

On paid plans, you can also connect a custom domain (e.g., www.yourbusiness.com) so your site appears under your own brand name.

   Make sure everything looks correct on mobile and desktop. Test all buttons and links.

   The publish button is in the top-right corner of the project editor.

   Share your link

   Once published, you'll receive a live URL. Share it on WhatsApp, Instagram, and your business cards.

WhatsApp Integration

WhatsApp is the primary communication channel for most Nigerian businesses. GeneX makes it easy to add WhatsApp ordering and enquiry buttons to your site.

When you describe your project, simply mention that you want WhatsApp ordering. GeneX will automatically add a "Order on WhatsApp" button that opens a chat with your business number, pre-filled with a message like "Hello, I'd like to place an order."

Make sure to provide your Nigerian phone number in the format 08012345678 when asked. GeneX handles the international formatting automatically.

Payments

GeneX supports Nigerian payment integration architecture for Paystack and Flutterwave. When you mention that you need online payments in your project description, GeneX will generate the correct payment flow with Naira pricing.

To activate live payments, you'll need to provide your Paystack or Flutterwave public key in the project settings. You can find this key in your Paystack or Flutterwave dashboard under Settings → API Keys.

   "Young professionals in Lagos" produces a very different site than "retirees in Abuja." The more GeneX knows about your customers, the better the result.

   Tell GeneX what you want visitors to do: "I want people to order on WhatsApp" or "I want them to fill out a booking form." This shapes the entire layout.

   Instead of creating a new project when something isn't right, ask GeneX to fix it. Conversational edits are fast and preserve your version history.

   Always check the mobile preview before publishing. Most of your Nigerian customers will visit your site on their phones.

   GeneX uses placeholder images during generation. For the best impression, replace them with real photos of your products, team, or location as soon as possible.
